Michael Butchard
Michael Butchard studied Music 2 Unit Course 1 at Winmalee High School, and was equal first in the State for this course. Michael avidly participated in the school band and choir, and filled key roles in school shows. In 1997, Michael won a scholarship to perform in the Sanda, Youth Fest in Japan. in 1999, he toured the USA with the Sydney School Singers as part of the Olympic Arts Festival and has won many awards at eisteddfods. Michael attributes his success in the HSC to the support he received from the school and the Lockley Music Studio. Michael will continue his studies at Sydney University where he will commence a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree. He is accompanied tonight by Gavin Lockley.
