Marcus Coleman
Marcus attended Fort Street High School, where he completed Music Extension, with an emphasis on performance. Marcus has played the cello since he was six years old. He attained the AMusA in 1999 and the LMusA in 2000, and he plans to become the first Australian cellist in space. Dawn Lament is by Australian composer Paul Stanhope and contains echoes of Aboriginal music. It is played on a cello made from Australian timbers by luthier Graham Caldersmith.
