Colin Grisdale
Colin Grisdale has been studying trumpet since he was eight years old, and he won his first eisteddfod when he was nine. He has since won many awards as well as completing HSC Music Extension at the Conservatorium of Music High School and gaining his AMusA with High Distinction. Colin has featured as a guest soloist at the Sydney Opera House and has toured the US as a soloist with the NSW Public Schools Singers. In 2001 he toured Spain as principal trumpet for the SBS Youth Orchestra. He won the Encompass Credit Union Sam Arneil Young Achiever Award in November 2001. Tonight he is accompanied by Joel Hockings (tuba), Chris Young (French horn), Simon Hilberding (trumpet) and Chloe Lake (trombone).
