Jonathan Ong

Jonathan Ong has studied piano since the age of four. He has won B’nai Brith and Australian Musician Academy Awards and many prizes at eisteddfods. He was invited by Australian maestro Tommy Tycho to play Chopin’s “Fantasie-Impromptu” at the MO Awards in 1997. As a music scholar at Sydney Grammar School, he has performed extensively in the school orchestra, concert band, and ensemble groups and in drama productions on both the piano and flute. Jonathan gained his AMusA in piano in 1998 and is currently working towards his licentiate. Jonathan plans to undertake a degree in music and hopes to become a concert pianist.
