Warners Bay High School
Morgan sings and plays guitar and piano. Recently he’s been testing his talents as a solo artist but, for four years now, Morgan has been fronting the rock band Extortion, which has met with considerable success. In 2001, they won the prestigious state-wide Youth Rock competition ahead of 700 other entries and, last year, they were joint winners of the Arrive Alive Music Challenge, securing them studio time and a gig at the NRL semi-finals. Extortion has supported acts such as Ian Moss, Superheist, Lo-Tel, Sick Puppies, Racey and Skulker. They’ve discovered a love for the road on several tours of NSW schools and are participants in the Talent Development Project. Thus far they’ve released an EP, Seymour Clearly. The song Fallin’ was written by Morgan, and features on their EP. The other members of Extortion are Tom Evans (bass/backing vocals) and Nicholas Cook (drums and percussion).
