Luke Hutton
Northern Beaches Secondary College, Manly Selective Campus
Luke has been playing the saxophone for 9 years and is currently preparing to sit for his AMusA. Together with his quartet, he has won championship and solo sections in the City of Sydney and Northern Beaches Eisteddfods and in 2002 received second place in the Conservatorium Woodwind Competition. Luke thoroughly enjoyed 5 years of State Music Camps, which he describes as ‘some of the best moments of my life’. He is currently enrolled in a Business Degree (Hotel Management) and hopes to eventually manage a 5 star hotel. He says that ‘my achievements reflect the support and talents of many people’ and would like to thank Rachel Tyson, Katie Anderson, Meredith Ash, Craig Driscoll, Melinda Atkins, Jodi Atkins, John Martin, and Mark Walton. A special thank you to Mum Lyndall and Dad Laurie and his fellow performers for their commitment and support. They are Matt Brenchley (tenor saxophone), Blake Letnic (alto saxophone), and Alan Paardekooper (baritone saxophone).
