Lukas Opacic

Lukas attained his LMusA in piano in 2002 when he was only thirteen and accelerated in Music to undertake his HSC exams whilst in Year 10. He received a number of first places in the McDonalds Performing Arts Challenge between 1999-2002 and received fourth prize at the Horowitz International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in his age group (2003). Since 1999, he has given 7 public recitals including a performance at Sir William Deane’s farewell dinner at Government House. He is currently studying with Gerard Willems at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and hopes to become a concert pianist and travel the world.
