Ivan-Pavao Peric

Ivan-Pavao describes himself as a “formally self-taught’ musician. He began studying the electric bass 4 years ago but gained ‘true insight’ upon his further study of greats Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Nigel Henning Orsted Pederson. He was nominated as ‘best bass player’ in the 2003 Kool Skools Competition and is currently the bass player and co-writer in funk quartet ‘Illuminate Groove’, who were runners-up in the Liverpool idol Battle of The Bands. He is working on developing new bass techniques along with a fretless electric bass and has future aspirations of becoming an upright bass player. He hopes to study Law or Economics although his ideal vocation is to secure work as a session payer on the lucrative ‘New York’ scene. Ivan Pavao is joined by fellow ENCORE student Anthony Noiosi (electric guitar), along with Philippe Collard (drums), and Vili Langi (keyboard).
